Against all reasonable judgement as a first-time homeowner, my husband and I bought a 1970's relic that required a serious remodel to bring it into the 21st century. I had heard every remodeling horror story commonly scripted with the unscrupulous builder and the wide-eyed owners ending up in debt and unhappy with the final product. As a result, I was very wary and very particular about whom I chose for our house project. Nielsen Builders came highly recommended from several people whom I trust, and I am indebted to them for referring them to me. Every step of the remodeling project from original planning, to paring the house back to its frame to completion was seamless. Nielsen Builders takes great pride in their attention to detail and professionalism- there was not one aspect of every corner of my home that was not acknowledged or discussed. They were meticulous about perfecting the exact aesthetic I wanted to achieve. While stylistic vision is important, so is adhering to strict deadlines and budgets. Nielsen kept their promise on both. There was not one instance during the four-month project where I felt there was a miscommunication about cost or timing. What can I say - the whole experience was pretty dreamy. I was able to get my dream home in a short period of time and within my budget. In addition, Eric Nielsen, with Nielsen Builders, has become a family friend as a result of the project, which attests to how happy we are with our experience with them and our (dream!) home. Hand on heart, I would recommend Nielsen Builders to all of my friends and family - and i do!
